I have just been informed by Three Rivers District Council (owners of Leavesden Aquadrome) that there is another event taking place at the Aquadrome on Sunday 18th so the car park may well be quite busy. This is for a charity event and the organisers have planned for a 2 hour bike ride starting at the car park at the Aquadrome and then heading off site. There will also be people walking around the Aquadrome at the same time. It is estimated that there will be about 75 people.

Gosh, sounds like it's going to be very busy. The cafe will never cope and the car park is always busy. When does the bike ride start?

Of course - I meant Rickmansworth Aquadrome ::)

Not sure what time it starts but as 3 Rivers decided to inform me about the bike ride I guess somewhere about the same time as us! Parking should be ok - just means we may have to park a bit further away on the grassy bit.

Any chance of Carly's nail clipping clinic ? Im willing to chip in for Carly's fuel bill to get her there or else to pay more for nail clipping to cover her costs, as Linfords nails are looking a bit long ;).

Andy will be able to confirm but I don't think Carly can make that day, as she will have been at the Greyhound Gathering all day on Saturday.

I hope to make this. Dolly will have to sit out the walk as she is still on 3 legs. She can hop over afterwards to meet her friends. ;D

Yes Lizzy, that is a good idea about Carly. We always donate £5 per dog because I prefer her doing their nails to anyone else but we would happily chip in petrol money as it is SO expensive now that I think twice about using the car.

Poor Dolly! Stanley had a Daniel bandage on for 5 days, a lovely red one to match his collar but it's healed up ok so he'll probably do the walk. Mind you, we might leave him at home as he doesn't seem to be happy at these events now.

As the girls are taking the Castledon Stall to the GGG at Nottingham the day before and start at 4am :o and have to get back that same evening :o, I think we'll excuse them not coming to Ricky on Sunday.

However, if the hounds don't mind waiting another few weeks, I confirm they will be at Leavesden on October 16th.

Claw Clipping and Teeth Descale and polish will certainly be available. Please keep an eye on the Leavesden Walk thread for more details.

I am reasonably confident that we will maintain our record on Sunday. ;)

Not quite so confident today. :(

Remember to bring your macs! Wellies are not required at Rickmansworth as the path is good all the way round. ;D

If somebody has a free hand, can I palm a hound off on them? Unfortunately I haven't yet worked out how to split myself in two and be able to do both the long and short walks....
