Went to Thorndon today to check the park out with Angela, Samantha and Paul and their lovely doggies.
Lovely weather for walking around the woods and it looks so beautiful with all the golden leaves over the forrest floor.
The route is a bit muddy underfoot, although we stuck to the main route there are places it gets a bit boggy so anyone with wheelchairs and pushchairs should be warned.
We'll check the park out again closer to the walk date to see what ground conditions are like.

As we have all noticed the nights are drawing in very quickly now! In light (ha ha ;D ) of this

we will need to start the walk at 2pm sharp

Unfortunately we wont be able to wait for stragglers as we would normally, if we do then we will all end up bumbling around in the dark! :o :o

If you do get delayed on the way, feel free to phone and we will happily tell you where we are and you can catch up with us!

Hi - I'm considering adopting a greyhound, and would love to come along to the walk to get to know a few and find out more about the practicalities of caring for one. Hope this is OK. :)

You are very welcome, just turn up!

We do look out for new 'walkers' but do not hesitate to make yourself known. There is always a hound that you can take for a 'test drive'! ;D

Hi Suekaer

That would be great, if you introduce yourself to either Kelly, Samantha or myself (Angela) we can find you a greyhound to walk if you like, I have 3 so you are more than welcome to walk one of mine and I am sure there will be a few volunteer that would love to talk about greyhounds to you.

Look forward to meeting you tomorrow.

Angela

Great walk today, we were really lucky with the weather. Approx 39 dogs and their owners on the walk today.

Ruby went on a test drive and behaved impeccably as always

It was a great walk! Beauty is resting with her legs in the air, so I know she's had a good day. :)

Had a lovely walk today - much drier than the last one that Castledon managed to get to (Weald Park), where we all got absoloutley soaked!
Like the 2pm start - much more kennel-friendly! ;)

Was especially lovely to see Graham with Benny & Gemma and Dave with Dolly.

Did take my camera along to take some snaps, but the batteries decided to flatten themselves - just what is it with these digital cameras? >:(
I did take some with my mobile, but when I posted them via. Photobucket, they came up really small ??? (Tried altering the size preference, but it didn't make any difference)
