Keeping our fingers crossed that the weather forecast stays good for Sunday. See you there folks, mind you, being Easter Sunday I guess quite a few folks could be away.

We can't come as to add to the stubborn corn on his front paw which we are still fighting, Ben has managed to get something in his back leg just above paw, which turned into a sort of small abscess. It is healing slowly but painful when walking, and jumping into the car as well, so we are just doing short walks on flat surfaces. Has not been a good year for Bens feet.

Sorry to hear about Ben, Linford sympathizes with him as he too has a painful foot, after months of problems with one of his toes he had to have part of it amputated last week . Hope Ben feels better soon .

Sorry to hear of so many hounds on the injured list. However, as promised, the rain held off and allowed the 28 hounds to walk their humans around the country park this morning. Thanks for your support - next Sunday - Wheathampstead.

Thank you for a dry walk and to Philip for leading, nice to meet some new dogs and their owners, the more the merrier!

Quite agree Susan - the more the merrier so let's hope GH Walks gets some more newcomers. Have to put some notices up to advertise them I guess.
Across the road from the Park is a little shopping centre and a Simmons Bakery has just opened and they're advertising that on a normal Sunday they're open from 08.00-16.00. A Take Away Breakfast roll will be £3.20 I think it said so those of you who come some way (or not) it might be worth a visit or for a gooey cake.
Mark - pity you weren't with us today because a new gentleman, Michael, came with a tiny wee blue, GH girl who he's only had a few weeks and another bitch who is a small version of lovely, loving Barry!!! He picked her up from Barley Kennels on Satuday and they would have looked superb together. Strange to have lookalikes from the same kennel.

It was a lovely, dry walk and definitely warmed up as we walked. Lots of new walkers and hounds today, lovely to meet and greet some of them as we strolled along. Always good to catch up with regular walkers too - time flies! Thanks to Philip for leading & Papa Andy for making us all feel so welcome as ever and for 'bringing up the rear'! I haven't seen the shops, Heather, I don't suppose there's anywhere nearby we could gather post-walk next time for a quick drink? Hoping to get to Wheathampstead next weekend as that's a really lovely walk on a clear day Enjoy the rest of your Easter weekend everyone.

Steve, a drink would be great but the nearest pub has a tiny "patio" but Andy knows the next one up the road. Is the Car Park a reasonable size Andy and I think you said dogs are welcome in the garden?
Steve, do you know anywhere between us and you so we could have a "last minute" unofficial walk. We're happy to go back to where we met up recently!
The Black Horse and The Stag are both supposed to be DF and are in Chorleywood so we should also suss out a walk for between GH Walks.

As my two can't do walks anymore I would be more than willing to meet up in a watering hole somewhere. Lol

Are there any walks local to you or Anne that we could get over to & Steve from Slough? Two people at Leavesden had come over from Hillingdon and another couple sometimes join us from Sudbury (Wembley)
