This is a Greyhound PLUS Christmas special!
Bring sausage rolls, mince pies, mulled wine (we will), and let's make it a real Christmassy walk!

Weather is looking kind too, so no excuses! We will also have GW Calendars available for the Jan - June 2015 walks. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Twelve and a half (little greyhound/collie x poopie - soooo sweet!) braved the cold on the Heath this morning.
Bright, but very cold in the wind. Still we had some mulled wine and sausage rolls (thank you Linda) to warm us afterwards!
Merry Christmas!

OMG - we didn't make it and it was supposed to be a pre Christmas get together with some folks we haven't seen for ages.
I had gone to bed on Saturday and was in a deep sleep when I struggled to come round woken by this blood curling screaming downstairs. Staggered down half asleep to find Philip supporting Brodie who would not stop that dreadful noise but we couldn't find what was wrong. Panic, it was 13.20.
Luckily I had some Aconite spray so got some into his mouth and after a while he suddenly calmed down. When we first got him from the kennel he did have nightmares but not like this. Philip said Brodie sprang out of his bed screaming with right front foot in the air and was terrified. I gently felt his leg and spoke quietly so we think perhaps he'd had cramp?
While this was going on Finn had leapt out of his bed in shock. I looked at the carpet, beige, and saw spots of blood all over where he'd been so had to get hold of Finn. It seems he must have scratched himself quite deeply on his last visit out but P. hadn't seen this as no blood then, gone into his bed where it had dried on the fabric. At the point Brodie was screaming, Finn shot up and broke the collagulated blood.
By now Brodie was sitting down watching me try to clear all this blood up but luckily a solution of salted water has done the trick. Then we found one had urinated in the hall with all this fuss going on.
I must ring my next door neighbour (other half of the semi) to explain we weren't killing Brodie.
Fingers crossed for a quiet day ahead but have a headache.

Life is never dull with a greyhound (or two, or three)! Hope to see you all this Sunday at Ricky.
