This topic is for all those people coming to the 'Bit of A Do' evening ( so that'll be most of you then ;D ).
As you may or may not know I'm going to be your DJ for the evening. So that everyone enjoys themselves thoroughly and in best Blue Peter spirit, I want to know what sort of music people would like to dance to. The Good...Tell me your favs - either artists, songs, genres or decades. The Bad...Tell me what you'd rather not hear! The UglyTell me your secret, most embarrassing tune that you really love but won't tell anyone. Why would you do such a thing? Because it's fun; if enough people participate in the “Cherished Cheese” selection it proves to be a real ice-breaker! Due to most males having issues with this sort of catharsis I promise not to divulge who chose what  . It's CHRISTMASSSS!As this will be the Greyhound Walks Christmas do, do you want to hear any Christmas songs? How to let me know...You can either: - reply to this post,
- PM me,
- email me or even
- tell me at the next walk I'm on (I'll make sure I have a pen and paper).
The night is alright... for requests. I'll be taking around 6-7000 tracks with me on the night so if you do have a request on the night I'll try my best to accommodate you! [shadow=red,left,300] Disclaimer[/shadow] As much as I would like to, I cannot promise that I'll be able to play everything that is requested either before or during the night, I'll do my best but sometimes there just isn't enough time! I once received a playlist from a to-be-married couple that ran to 8 type-written pages. I averaged out the time it would take to play the list and it came to 14.5 hours! Really looking forward to a swishy night, so give it some thought and it'll be one to remember. Cheers, JackL

I have a list of 'Bad' songs that I gave to my wedding DJ as 'definately do not play these', which included:
Superman song
Birdie Song
Oops-up-side-your-head
Come on Eileen
Nellie the Elephant
Anything by Mariah Carey or Leona Lewis.

The Good ... I like current R&B and pop type music. I also like '80's cheese' because it reminds me of old school disco's. Can't beat a bit of 'Boom Shake the Room' by the Fresh Prince & Jazzy Jeff.  |

No one has said if they want any Christmas tunes... I know the 'Do' is late November and people can be a bit iffy about people thrusting Christmas down their throats before December has got in the door... so what do you think?

David has just told me it was 93 We have a 90s CD playing in the car at the moment. I don't like Lady Gaga. She was pants when she supported Take That. And I personally quite like Come On Eileen. David will be happy if there is a bit of Dizzee Rascal in the mix ;D Ladies, ladies... I didn't want to start a flame war, we're all adult (well at least the ladies are) here. If you hear something you don't like you at least get the opportunity to bitch about it - then everyone gets something out of it ;D Cheers, John.
