There they had toilets there and a cafe. I'd be more than willing to do some checking.

Ashridge is a good place to walk & my friend from Tring takes her Greyhound there but it can get very busy she says. Wheathampstead has a big common, not sure how big the CP is and I don't recall any "facilities" Yes, we're up for checking it out with you.

Ashridge is lovely, but as has been said, can get very busy on a Sunday, all year round.
Heather, you are probably thinking of NoMansLand at Wheathampstead? Nice walks but as you say, no toilets there.
Where I was thinking of was the public car park behind The Bull (with public loo). No cafe though. Nice walk behind it. It may not tick all the boxes, depends on what Linda thinks when we meet up.

I have also considered all the above places but have dismissed them for GW purposes for all the reasons given by everyone else. However - great for informal walks! Always happy to go on a walk with greys and their families if we are free! Another really nice place is Cassiobury Park and the woodlands beyond it at Watford. However again the car park gets really busy (it's not huge). There are facilities open during the summer months.
I am also up for checking out these venues - work permitting if it's during the week.

Yes, Cassiobury is another place to walk if you go early for the paqrking & I'd be glad to meet up with GH's during week or non Ricky Sundays. We do seem to be short of suitable places around here & another member mentioned Denham Country Park but then we'd be going further south.

Thank you to Susan and her husband for taking us on a lovely walk in Wheathampstead, definitely a venue for Greyhound Walks. Free parking directly behind a pub with a lovely shaded beer garden. Good long and short walk with plenty of shade, but not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs Down by the river Along an old railway track Dylan says: Mummy as i have been such a good boy can i go play Roxy and Dylan enjoying the water Off to the pub for refreshments

Thank you to Samantha for helping me find a good walking route around Lee Valley Park. After sitting down planning our route from the maps and printed out directions off we set only to find out the route was not suitable, off we went back to the starting point had a coffee and decided to do our own thing.
We found a good walk around a lake with a stopping off point for the dogs to have a paddle in the stream, the route is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs, most of it is concrete with gravel but grass verges for dogs with delicate paws.
The short route is suitable for buggies but not wheelchairs.
Samantha and i walked for just over 3 hours and only found 1 poo bin
