Social event for greyhounds, lurchers and their owners
Lunch at the Royal Oak, Bovingdon, Hertfordshire – Saturday 2 July from 12pm (food served at 1pm)
This could be your opportunity to continue all those conversations you started on a walk but never got the chance to finish!
We’re organising a “social” at this dog-friendly, country pub in Hertfordshire. We will have sole use of a self-contained paddock at the rear of the pub and a discounted rate on their usual menu prices. Food is delicious – locally sourced where possible and freshly cooked.
Choose from:
• Beer Battered Haddock with Handcut Chips, Crushed Peas & Tartare Sauce
• Beef Burger with Handcut Chips
• Honey Roasted Ham & Eggs with Handcut Chips
• Sundried Tomato & Feta Risotto with Mixed Leaves (v)
All at £6.95
Spaces are limited so if you would like to come along then email Jan Taylor on jan@andrewtaylor.plus.com or phone her on 01923 262565 or send Andy Taylor (that's me - andyandjan) a PM via the Greyhound Walks Forum. Alternatively you can give Jan the cash when you see her – don’t forget to let her have your menu selection together with your name and address so that she can send you your tickets.
If you have an eye for a bargain then why not combine your trip with a visit to Bovingdon Market? It’s a 5 minute drive from the pub and is open 9am to 4pm www.bovingdonmarket.co.uk
Or you might like to take a gentle stroll down the leafy lanes or round the village green adjacent to the pub.
Bovingdon is a 15 minute drive from junction 20 of the M25.
Visit the pub’s website here www.royaloakbovingdon.co.uk
Any questions? Email Jan on jan@andrewtaylor.plus.com or Rose on dragstars@btinternet.com
