Is the paddock 100% enclosed ............................ might be fun if it is. Whilst the paddock is fully enclosed, I wouldn't say it is 100% Greyhound "safe". My two are jumpers and they would certainly be able to get over the paddock fence. Lacey and Duke have strong pack mentality and although I'm not an expert, I expect many other hounds have this as well. Given that we already have in excess of 20 hounds coming ;D we will adopt our normal cautious approach for this one, making sure that dogs are under control (i.e. on lead) at all times. I don't want to be a party pooper, I just want us all to have a good time and not risk the possibility of getting into any potentially difficult situations. It is our first social in Herts and we have a reputation to build. We need to get off to a good start. ;D

I totally agree with your decision Andy&Jan. Can you imagine 20+ dogs rampaging about off lead.

I am so looking forward to what will be a great social event and look forward to many more to come.

Oh blimey with that many hounds we've got to be on our best behaviour if we are to be welcomed back in the future. It is Tink's watering hole and so we owe it to him to not embarrass the poor lad .

I believe that Tink will be in full combat gear and "fully loaded" to ensure that security is up to speed at his "local". ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

There are still a few places left for lunch at the Royal Oak in Bovingdon (Herts) on Saturday 2 July. PM or email us dragstars@btinternet.com if you would like to attend. The following people have already booked their places, please check that your food order is correct. We have produced some easy to follow directions for those people who would like a stroll before or after lunch (which is served at 1300 hrs) that we will give you on the day. The address of the pub is The Royal Oak, Bovingdon Green, Bovingdon HP3 0LZ.

Tink is looking forward to welcoming all his friends to Bovingdon on Saturday. He is now expecting 32 humans and 33 dogs and possibly some local dogs joining us on the day.

Fantastic. I hope the weather is kind to us as from what I remember the Oak isn't that big inside!! Get Andy to have a word with the weather man.
We'll have to all wear name tags with forum name, real name and hounds name on so we know who's who!
