YOUR HELP NEEDED PLEASE. Carnival Procession leaves School Mead, Hazelwood Lane, Abbots Langley at 12 noon (Single Firework to start it off). Meet there at 10.30 - 10.45 for judging etc. Costume to be advised nearer the time. We need as many people as possible for the procession as this is a great way to promote our dogs and we always get a great reaction form the people watching the procession. We will have 2 stalls at the Carnival on the Manor House Playing fields and need help throughout the day for this - at least 6 people to help put up the 2 dome tents and set up stalls at 9am, then a team of people throughout the day to man the stalls and also accompany our dogs on the 'test' walks with children. This is always extremely popular! We will need at least 6 people at 5pm to take down the dome tents Tombola items - we need as many of these as possible - please bring to the next walks in Herts or let us know you have some items and we can arrange to collect. Do you have any CDs or DVDs you no longer want - we can also sell these. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you.

Anyone else able to help or join in the carnival please?

Can you confirm when you need help with the tents etc as Philip will come along. I got dates muddled & we were supposed to be meeting the family where little foster dog Erin went to on 8th. How embarrassing!

Really sorry would like to help but John has DJ booking for that day. Also Anna does not like anything that bangs, crop scarers on the fields send her heading for the car and that's one of her favourite walks! Hope all goes well and hopefully I/we can help out at something else. Helen x

Philip is down to help at 09.00.
I'll try to get up with Brodie later but he's been scared by a loud bang in the past so don't want to upset him. Bad day as we've got to take Stanley to vet as we think he's in pain and I've got two pet care booking for the afternoon as well.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we will now not be having a stall on Saturday.
We WILL continue with being in the Carnival Procession, so please come along for the walk!
We meet on School Mead at 10.45. Dress code is - please wear a GW tee shirt if you have one, otherwise a black or white top.
Given that we expect the weather to be very good and possibly hot, we feel it would be better for the hounds to walk without any coats or jackets (other than cool coats), so we are not having a particular theme for either hounds or humans.
Thank you.

We'll be there! Such a shame about the stall, the number of test drives was huge at this event last year & must've led to some rehomings for homeless hounds. Hopefully, we'll parade so proudly, we'll still get the point across See you at 10.30 Steve

I am sorry but as Lilly hates bangs I will not be able to come along for the carnival procession. I hope you all have an enjoyable day and I am sure the Greyhounds will be the "Star Attraction".

What a fun occasion! Loads of attention for the hounds and loads of awareness raised Here's a few portraits of some of the handsome/beautiful attendees Brodie does his bit to raise awareness Smokey, the camera-shy deerhound, does her best to avoid the camera! Booze checks Paul out for treats Beautiful Zoe relaxes into the occasion
