Meeting Point - At the Countryside Centre based at the north end of the park. Access is from 'The Avenue' near the junction with Chilterditch Lane.

Follow the A127 to the Half Way House Junction (A128), then follow the A128 towards Brentwood. At the double mini roundabouts turn left into 'The Avenue' and the park will be on your left.

Parking & Charges - Plentiful, Pay & Display £2.20 all day

Suitable for buggies and wheelchairs?- No. The park gets very wet and muddy in bad weather

Went to Thorndon yesterday and it is looking beautiful, very autumnal

Still a bit muddy underfoot but pretty good at the moment, though that would obviously change if it rains before Sunday.

You're welcome Thorndon is becoming one of mine and David's favourite walks

I agree it's a lovely park. You can do the circular walk of the park which is about 4.5miles which is one of our favourites from the kennels. It's a good place to go on Boxing Morning.
