The seafront was closed yesterday because of high waves and tide. We have checked the forecast for tomorrow and at the moment it's no gusts but cold temperatures. There are currently no warnings either.
We will meet at Chalkwell Esplanade car park as planned, but may have to make a quick change of venue if we can't walk along the seafront. We are researching this as I type!
If you are coming along it would be advisable for you and your dogs to wrap up warm.

Just looked on the Southend Borough Council website re. parking at Chalkwell Esplanade and it appears that from Nov - March you only have to pay between 09.00 and 10.00 www.southend.gov.uk/info/200072/parking/1219/parking_fees_and_charging_times/5I know that when we used to go there during the winter months there was no charge at all

Hello! Newbie here, to both the forums and greyhounds. Just got our retired greyhound last week and want to come along tomorrow, but can we bring our other sighthound? If the walk goes ahead all sight hounds are welcome as long as they are kept on a lead at all times & muzzled if they can get a bit 'gobby' in close company with other hounds. Make sure you introduce yourself to the walk leader & you'll be made very welcome. Have a great walk all x
