Directions for those of you coming to the race night next week.
From the A127 take the A132 turn off towards Basildon/Pitsea. Go straight across the large roundabout with the garden centre on you left then at the next roundabout (with the Watermill pub on your left) turn right into Whitmore Way. Go straight across the mini roundabout and turn left immediately after the zebra crossing into the Fryth. Follow this windy road though the housing estate and eventually you come to a piece of road with a field either side. Frypa Hall will be on the corner on your right.
The address of the hall is: Frypa Hall, The Fryth, Basildon, SS14 2RS
Please be careful if you are coming west bound along the A127. As of today there is now a 50mph speed limit from Progress Road up to the Nevedon turn off (A132). There are speed averaging cameras in place and they are working. Just don't want anyone to be caught out by it doing 70mph.

Thank you to everyone who came to the Race Night and a BIG thank you to Kelly for all her hard work in arranging such an enjoyable evening and to all the volunteers who made it such a big success ;D
The star of the evening was Tye, who watched every race closely and barked his encouragement as the dogs were running around the track! It was all the more amazing as he apparently never raced!
Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets - we raised a fantastic £170 for Castledon! ;D

I've been lazy and just got up 'cos I was pooped after all the arranging and running about yesterday. Can I just say how amazing Janet is for organising all these other fundraisers, it's not as easy as she makes it look.
The feedback from everyone seemed to be that they had a good time and enjoyed themselves, so that's good and we took quiet a bit of money too which will be split between Greyhound Walks and Castledon Kennels.
We had £125.24 in bar donations for a start, I've yet to do the maths on how much profit over all we had but it looks quiet good. Thank you everyone who came and thanks for helping us raise more money for needy greyhounds.
(Dave I know the bar money is £3 up on what you calculated, but I put some in as I missed getting a drink and buying a raffle ticket in my rushing about like a headless chicken!)

A especially big thank you to my volunteers -
Angela for being a bookie and making a better job of it than I did. Tracey for doing all the PA and a great job she did too. Dave, Charlotte and David for doing a sterling job on the bar and dishing out the food My sister, Louise for looking after people at the door And my other half Aran for running all the races and setting the PA & Laptop up.
