......This is the walk that Storm and i do most days and its got a bit of everything, so thought it may be worth considering. Its in Eastwood and is pretty easy to find - i can give directions if anyone is interested. There is a pretty decent size car park (free ) and there are a mixture of open grass fields and woods. There is a river, farm tracks, footpaths, a small lake, and a couple of secure fenced in areas where houndies could run and not [glow=red,2,300]ESCAPE [/glow] ;D ;D should you wish to let them. Its generally speaking accessible to all, altho there are routes i wouldn't recommend if you, or your houndies, are not feeling fit or are less mobile as there are a couple of steepish rugged hills in one direction. You can also - if you know the way - walk all the way through to "The Bull" (Pub) in Hockley, without touching a single road if you are feeling fit Thought it was worth a mention. x

I'd like directions please, it's only about 3 miles from me but I couldn't find the exact location on google maps. I'd love to take my doggas somewhere different but hadn't even heard of this one

I'm coming up from Westcliff. We tried to find it at the weekend but failed Had a really close look on google maps after and I think I've found it, looks as though I need to head towards Kent Elms but directions from there would be handy if you don't mind. Thanks Samantha... Diane

no probs diane, ok here goes......
You can turn at kent elms & travel through eastwood. But the easiest way from where you are is to come along the A127 to Progress Road. Down progress road to the bottom and turn left, the immediately right up bosworth (there is a used car garage on the corner) At the top of bosworth go straight over at the junction, through the gate & car park is at the bottom.
I live 2 mins from the park, so if you fancy some company sometime let me know. x

Thank you, that sounds easy enough to find. Not sure how much time I've got this week for venturing too far, snowed under with work at the mo and still got packing to do for hols next week ;D Will probably PM you the following week if that's OK.

Had to take the van into the Mercedes Dealership on the A127 and thought I would check out this walk. It is such a lovely place, with the horses in the paddock on the left hand side and then opening up into a very generous car park, with doggie bins. Would love to do this one! Sam is there any chance of mentioning it, to our '1st Lady' as a possible walk for next year? It would be nice to have a few more in this end of Essex.

It is a lovely walk Linda, glad you enjoyed it unfortunately it's not suitable as a venue for GW as there are no facility at all there but it's still a great venue for individuals to go
