I quite often drive to Rayne and park by the old station and walk however far Chelsea fancies walking along the Flitch Way. It's really pleasant and peaceful.

There's now a really nice little cafe at the old station selling snacks and drinks.

ooh I've been there too with Guide Dogs (I get to sit in the warm with them ), the man makes a great cuppa!
Also if you park under the bridge on the Stebbing Road, Felsted, you can walk towards Braintree on the Flitch and loop off through fields on footpaths to the right, like a big flag shaped walk. There's a nice wee lake/pond there too.
