Our regular walks, Indy and Anna love it! Grove Woods and adjoining fields link up with Hockley Woods, Gusted Hall and Edwards Hall/Cherry Orchard Jubilee Park. Lovely circular walks through woods and fields. You can do walks of varying length depending how energetic you're feeling! Routes can be extended to Rochford and Hawkwell/Clements Hall ;D Happy to show peeps around. Situated in the area between Rayleigh, Hockley, Hawkwell and Eastwood. Nearest postcode link is Grove Wood Primary School, SS6 8UA. Continue past school to carpark. maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=ss6+8ua&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=31.564064,56.513672&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Rayleigh,+Essex+SS6+8UA,+United+Kingdom&ll=51.587123,0.643559&spn=0.012079,0.027595&t=h&z=15

This looks a great walk, wish we could have more listed walks in this area of Essex.

Hi. We go to Hockley Woods a lot with Slippy. It's really nice, although one too many squirrels for Slippy's liking! The car park is free and there is a lovely pub called The Bull which has a beer garden for doggies and lots of drinking water for them! Would recommend it - especially if it looks a bit overcast as it is very sheltered!

We would certainly come along. We really do need more walks up this end of Essex.

It's very difficult getting round to all the parks and towns where we know people would like to walk so it's very much on the agenda for next year to do more impromtu evening walks through the sping/summer months. We didn't do many this last year as we were so busy doing other things but hopefully next year there will be more time

That would be Greyt, we would definitely join up with this walk, or one of Samantha's suggestion at Edwards Park, went their yesterday it was really lovely and it is closeby to this one in Hockley. (Me thinks you could possibly check out both as they join up at the same time)

We would also bring our grey Katie 3 to any walks in the southend area, not driving makes a lot of the walks a no no for us!
