This is Lilly's morning walk before we go off for work. It takes around 50 minutes. I took these photo's at 0600hrs Wednesday, so the sun is just coming up. I do continue through the winter and have to have a head torch to see the ground in front of me! It can get busy on a sunny weekend day, but normally it is quite peaceful. Head up the "Green" from Scots Hill Cut through Green Lane and enter footpath signposted River Chess At the bottom of the hill take the footpath straight ahead Take the next turning on the left Then over the bridge and turn left Follow the path beside the river One of Lilly daydreaming Next walk through Scotsbridge playing fields - lots of Mole hills to smell There is parking here so took a photo of the sign Next to here is a restaurant, where you can buy drinks (expensive) but they do have a lovely garden to sit out in Then walk back up Scots Hill for home and then work

Greyhound in Paradise!!!
I've been thinking about getting a head torch Sheena, what do you think of yours? Is it genuinely bright enough on those dark mornings and dark nights?
If so, what did you get and where did you get it please?
Ta!

Lovely photos Sheena.
I have a headtorch I bought from Asda when we were away last year in Cornwall staying somewhere with no lights at all. Black dog, black field, not a good idea.
Despite being quite cheap, I think I could land aircraft with it!
It has 3 different settings so is extremely flexible. Needless to say, the small, round, flat batteries are not cheap. Very useful piece of kit though, I always take it away with us.

Brilliant - Lily's guided walk! Love it ;D
Looks like a great place to walk, interesting earthworks in the first photo.

Greyhound in Paradise!!! I've been thinking about getting a head torch Sheena, what do you think of yours? Is it genuinely bright enough on those dark mornings and dark nights? If so, what did you get and where did you get it please? Ta! I brought a Petzl Tikkina Head torch last year for around £15.00 from ebay. It has been invaluable. Not only for seeing where you are going in the dark, but helpful for finding where our beloveds have left their packages, (leaving yours hands free to pick up). Also, seeing in dark cupboards, car repairs...basically wherever more light is needed and still able to use both hands for all sorts of jobs. It is quite surprising how much light they give off. They have two settings. Batteries are 3 x AAA and last for 190 hours. Water resistant with a 3 year guarantee. There is also a sort of ratchet system so that the light can be directional. Here is the company I brought mine from. Member ID summit-to-sea-anglesey Hope this helps.
