We're off to Hatfield Forest via Bedlars Green near Great Hallingbury this evening as the weather's looking so good again. It's lovely for an hour's evening stroll with the dogs and there is a very nice dog friendly pub, the Sir John Houblon (used to be the Hop Poles) where we park up and return to - how convenient 6.45 start, pub grub afterwards if you haven't had time for your meal between work and walk. Map below, 5 minutes from Junction 8 of M11, Postcode CM22 7TP. Pub can be tricky to spot coming from Stansted as it's a bit hidden on a corner but you'll see it as you go past Plenty of parking If you're on the GBGW committee and come along we're going to do a very quick catch up before I head off on holiday as it's not far away now! Won't take too long.
