I posted over a year ago about the possibility of having a walk in this area as it is lovely. But not sure if anyone has looked at the area yet. I am sure we could park at the enviromental center where there is a cafe and toilets and then walk up through the woods and over furze hills. If not there is plenty of parking at furze hills. I am happy to meet anyone over there so we could look at arranging a walk and a route. Also Dedham is a lovely area to walk in. Bev

Bev Bev, I looked at Ordnance survey map for Mistley/Manningtree and an idea of where this walk could be and couldn't see anything jumping out at me. Not knowing the area, so not knowing where to start it's not made it onto our list so far. When we check out new walks we have to do visits to check suitability - if it is, find a route suitable for the walk. Then we go back to recheck with 'new eyes on' and to get really familiar with the route - quite a long winded process especially if you live a distance away. Happy to have a chat about it though if you can bring a map/plan along to a walk for us to take a look at? We've walked three times at Dedham, so that's definitely on our list

Oh Goodness, I am no good with maps, but I know the area very well, so could physically show somebody a few routes, all through woodland and over the fields at Furze hills. No need to hit a road anywhere. Is there nobody anywhere near that area I could meet? Its rather like Highwoods Country park but in Mistley . I will attempt to get a map and bring it along to you if nobody is near enough to come in person.
