The theme we are adopting for the procession is the Olympics as we thought it fitted in with our dogs and we could adapt the racing jackets we used last year very easily by just adding on a number either side, and the humans wearing a winners medallion! People we have spoken to seem to think this is not a problem and will make their own numbers to be fixed with a safety pin, and make their own medallions. We'll roll out more about this as arrangements become more apparent, but if you could start preparing, that would be great! Thank you. p.s. don't forget the procession starts with a loud firework, so we'll arrange for any dogs that might get spooked to move well away before the start and we'll meet up with them along the route.

Polly & Dude too. Is the dress code for two legged participants the same as before with black trousers and white tops? What sort of size do you suggest the numbers should be, A4 or A5 ish? Black number on white background? Mine will have to be on fabric because I don't have a laminator.

Blimey Susan, good questions - I hadn't thought of any of that. Let's hope it doesn't rain cos I don't have a laminator or any fabric!!!

Ok Team GW - here are the final arrangements!
Dress Code: Humans: Either white OR black GW shirts - if you haven't got a GW shirt, just wear a white or black shirt! And anything with an Olympic Theme such as medals worn around the neck (Jan bought some chocolate ones the other day - we'll see what they look like at the end of the parade!!!)
Hounds: Anything you like with an Olympic "theme" such as numbers on coats.
Generally, anything you like really that has an Olympic feel to it.
Guess what, the theme of this year's carnival is The Olympics!
Meet in School Mead at 10.45 please.
We have a contingency plan for nervous hounds who will walk off to another meeting point after the judging to make sure they miss the loud firework!!!
Looking forward to it - it will be great fun as always.

Ok Team GW - here are the final arrangements! Dress Code: Humans: Either white OR black GW shirts - if you haven't got a GW shirt, just wear a white or black shirt! We have quite a few spare white polos so will send over with other bits ... assorted sizes but probably none of them the right one

Hoping to be there with Harry but will go straight to the main event and find the stall if that's ok as Harry will be a nervous wreck otherwise. I shall be making him wear his Union Jack bib again.
