Community Fun Day - Colchester - 27th October

Colchester Community Fun Day

The organiser says ...
The day itself is a Community Fun Day but it is Dog related. We will set up an arena where we will hold dog competitions with prizes and trophies available.

We will also have inflatables and refreshments availble for members of the public. All people attending are from either dog companies or vet or pet related companies. If you want to bring a stall with a gazebo then please do and also any freebies you have are always good.

If you want to bring a display team down that would be great, we have parking available on the field so thats not a problem. The event will be a success and we want as many agencies as possible involved.

If you'd like to come and join us on the stall to show off our hounds (and us) please add your name to the thread and I'll confirm arrangements nearer the date.

We have complications!

We aren't allowed a vehicle on the pitch and can't even take a vehicle on to offload meaning we'd have to walk everything from the car park to the pitch, which makes life difficult ...

add to that ...
the predicted change in the weather, although it's going to be fine looks like the temperature is going to drop and there's forecast of a chill wind

add to that ...
the organisers emailed yesterday to say if the weather was inclement then they wouldn't be holding the event and it would be cancelled on the day

add to that ...
our hounds really do not like to be standing around in the cold, and neither do our humans and with no vehicle on the pitch we've no where to put them to rest away from the elements

Will check the weather again later just in case it's going to warm up but for now I believe it's best that we don't attend this event.
