ROUNDABOUT CLOSURES - as part of the dualling of the A11 the Fiveways Barton Mills roundabout near Mildenhall will be closed during 3 or possibly 4 weekends in October. This will impact upon those of our happy band of intrepid supporters of the Brandon Walk who venture from the Newmarket area and further west eg Royston and beyond.
However, a diversion will be put in place as follows and should only add a few minutes to your journey:-
Traffic heading towards Barton Mills will be diverted off the A11 at Red Lodge, through Mildenhall and Beck Row, back onto the A1065 (Lakenheath road) near Eriswell (which is just before Lakenheath). Straight into Brandon as usual and turn right at the Tesco traffic lights into Rattlers Road and turn right at the top & 600 yards (give or take an inch!) the Country park is on the right.
I hope that this helps and looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday 6th October. Kindest regards, Graham (and Gemma of course).
