As long as we don't have to leave the warming drink to the café or it'll be new year before we warm up!!!
No offence, like, it's just a trifle slow there innit?!?

The refreshments at the New Year's Day walk are much faster So is the mulled wine served at the Xmas walks! Mulled wine is very tempting but not sure we could manage that for the NYD crowd unless the motorhomes fill up their water tanks with spiced red wine and have it 'on tap'

There might be a new GH at the walk. It's one Philip and I left home last Saturday moring at 05.10 to meet the transporter from Ireland bringing over 23 hounds and our collection point was Leicester Services for about 06.30. She a ditty, darling, amber brindle I think you'd call it called Lady and she's just had her 9th birthday. Chris has given her a home in South Oxhey with her young deaf "lurcher" boy called Popeye. I thought it best that she doesn't bring him along because the description of a lurcher we thought was a bit iffy as he looks rather striking but very collie like. I was smitten with little Lady as she's so sweet and friendly. Before anyone asks, yes, Foster Finn is still here but needs a home.

That seems a shame to exclude him, my first lurcher was a greyhound , whippet ,collie cross, looking back at the photos of her, what i thought at the time a very greyhound looking dog with hindsight looks like a very thin collie type dog . I was smitten with little Lady as she's so sweet and friendly. Before anyone asks, yes, Foster Finn is still here but needs a home.[/quote] Such a shame that Finn doesnt have any interest for such a pretty boy . My friend Mo is looking for a new boy, but needs a confident boy to compliment her nervous girl. Might be one dog down tomorrow as Linford has cut his foot ( once again ) .

What a lovely walk in the sunshine this morning. Thank you to Andy and Jan for the wine plus all the other tasty offerings brought along.
We put a smile on a lot of strangers' faces as we walked our beautiful dogs in their tinsel and bows. My photos aren't very good but I saw the expert there with his camera (as well as Sheena) so I expect he'll come up trumps again.
Best wishes to all houndie families.

Thanks to the 51 hounds who took their Christmassy walk around the Aquadrome yesterday. Lovely to see so many dressed up and welcome to the new folks who joined us as well. Happy Christmas to one and all.
