Collar & Coat Amnesty

Great British Greyhound Walk will be at the Greyhound Walks Show and our Ambassador Jack JT Alford with his henchmen and ladies will be in charge of the Collar Amnesty box.

This year we are collecting unwanted sighthound collars for Mandy Simpson over in Spain. She fosters for many of the Spanish sighthounds rescues (when she has one of her fosters rehomed it always goes out with it's collar, so they always need replacing) and she ran a very successful Global GBGW.

If you're coming to the show please drop any unwanted/ surplus collars (or 2 or 3) in the box, if you're not coming to the show you can post collars to us GBGW, 5 Washall Drive, Braintree, CM77 7GF - or you can drop them at any of the walks.

The Brandon walk is nearly upon us and we will be collecting for this very worthy cause and delivering them to THE Show the following weekend. Every Hound owner has at least one collar they really don't need

Our Amnesty collection of collars and coats have been sorted and bagged ready for collection today.

The response has been amazing and each little donation by individuals has reaped a total of:

1 bag of new coats
3 bags of used coats
1 bag of snoods, knitteds and pj's
1 bag of martingales
1 box of house collars
1 bag of harnesses
1 bag of leads
1 bag of items for the shop
1 bag of treats and wormers (from Kris's £1 for a hound)



Thank you to everyone who made a donation, this makes a very big difference to the hounds in Spain who are brought in off the streets and often into Mandy Simpsons care.
