Are we doing a walking procession? Is there a carnival theme? Yes, we are in the walking procession , & we're having a stall on the showground after. There is no theme to the carnival. WE DO NEED LOTS OF DOGS & PEOPLE TO ATTEND. So if you have nothing to do on Sat. 4th August please feel free to come along. We've done Carnies before &the Dogs have created lots of interest.

Is the GWWI making costumes for the dogs then, or are they just wearing the 'test drive' and 'retired & loving it' coats?

This lines up outside my house so I might see you on the day depending on where you are in the procession line up.

Line up & check in for Maldon Carnie is from 11.30. in Cross rd. Procession route will be Cross rd./ Fambridge rd./High st.& Mill rd , ending in Promenade Park. Judging is from !pm , & move off 2.15. We will have a stall in the Park after the parade & you can park in Promenade Park. We can set up between 8 & 11 am. Can't find a post code for the park, but it's easy to find. Can you please p.m. me if you are coming so we have an idea of how many will be there. G.W. NEEDS YOU. Rob.

Looks like you'd be ok to park at the Promenade and walk through to Cross Road. I think there's also parking at Maldon DC offices which are in Princes Road ... I'm sure Carol might be able to help us out with other car parks?

I think you can park at the Swimming Pool for free which is just down the road from Promenade Park (which isn't free parking).

The start and finish of the carnival are really close together, Council car park is close to the two, the Lower Plume car park may be available to. You could park in the street in Mundon road if its not to busy. There are four car parks in the town, Butt Lane, White Horse, one behind Icelands and one down the bottom of the town which I don't know the name of. www.maldon.gov.uk/info/200072/parking/232/parking_in_maldon_town
